Ministries of Disciplinary Offices

(Trust means dependable, reliable, faith in, etc.) The purpose of the Trustee Board is one of a “trusteeship” with fiduciary responsibilities, and it involves persons who hold something in trust for another or others¾such as the properties of the church.

Some of the qualifications to become a Trustee are:

A person who loves God

A person with a high moral and spiritual life

A person who both knows and loves the Methodist doctrine and discipline

A person with good natural ability and sound judgment to transact the business of the church

Trustees are appointed by the Pastor-in-Charge and ratified by the Quarterly Conference. Currently nine persons serve as Trustees. Six (6) men and three (3) women.

BOARD OF STEWARDS

The Stewards shall be nominated by the Pastor to the Quarterly Conference.

The Stewards are to be elected annually. The Stewards in conjunction with the Stewardesses make an estimate of appropriation for the pastor (salary, travel allowance, housing and medical).

Keep an accurate account of the money collected or other provisions made for the support of the ministry and to keep an accurate record of money spent by the Church, for all purposes.

To be men and women seeking to live as disciples of Christ.
To seek out the sick and inform the pastor of those who are sick.
To attend all official meetings of the church.
To provide elements of the Lord’s Supper.
To elect their own chairman, secretary and treasurer.
To provide ministry to members through class leadership and ministry outside the church.
To provide ministry and witness through being leaders and co-partners in ministry with the Pastor.

STEWARDESS BOARDS I & II

Our aim as good stewardess is to engage ourselves in activity that will help us grow and become faithful Christians committed to both God and to the work of our church. We know that this requires earnest effort through worship, Sunday School, Bible Study and service.

We demonstrate that we are striving for purity in our lives and pray to be worthy to assist the pastor with the two sacraments in our church: Holy Communion and Baptism.

The Stewardess shall be nominated by the Pastor to the Quarterly Conference.

It is a privilege and honor to serve. Stewardess also lead in co-ministry with the Pastor and live fitting lives before Christ.
